SOM's design takes its formal cues from organic geometry: the balconies follow a petal-like contour that gives the building a curved, sculptural profile rather than the flat-faced envelope common across Dubai's mid-rise stock. D3 sits between the Creek and Business Bay, roughly 4.9 kilometres from Downtown Dubai. It was conceived as a mixed-use address for design, fashion, art and technology businesses, and its built fabric reflects that brief: wide pedestrianised walkways, curated public art, cycling paths, and a low-rise grain that keeps the streetscape legible.
