Amali Island is a collection of 24 villas developed by Amali Properties on a private island within The World Islands archipelago, approximately four kilometres off the Dubai coastline. The World Islands archipelago was conceived as a cartographic feat: a cluster of man-made landmasses arranged in the rough outline of a global map, reclaimed from the Arabian Gulf. Amali Island occupies one of these plots, and the project spans four buildings across the site. Construction is underway, with progress currently recorded at just under 12 per cent.

ELASTIC's approach to the architecture draws on coastal topography, producing two distinct facade treatments that the developer describes as "grande" and "minima" styles. The result is a set of villas that read differently depending on orientation and scale, rather than a uniform streetscape. For a project built on reclaimed land surrounded by open water, the relationship between structure and shoreline carries obvious design weight.

Amali Island comprises four villa typologies split across the two architectural expressions. Specific size ranges and floor plan details are not yet publicly confirmed, but each residence includes a private pool and is unfurnished, leaving buyers to determine fit-out independently.

Interior design was handled by Hirsch Bedner Associates, a practice with a long track record in high-end hospitality. Their involvement here follows a similar logic: the material palette and spatial planning are oriented around the particular light conditions and water views of an island setting. The developer indicates that customisation is available across a spectrum from contemporary to more classical tones, though the scope of that programme sits with Amali Properties directly.

# What the island provides

The amenity list is compact but deliberate. A fitness centre and spa anchor the wellness provision. A members-only clubhouse, a restaurant and private beach access give residents reasons to stay on-island rather than commute to the mainland for daily needs.

For arrivals by sea, the project includes private berths. A helipad handles air access. Both details reinforce the positioning: Amali Island is not designed for people who intend to drive in and out of Dubai each morning.

# Access, isolation and the Arabian Gulf

The World Islands sit roughly four kilometres offshore, accessed by boat or helicopter. There is no bridge connection to the mainland. That distance is a feature for the buyer this project targets, not a friction point.

Amali Island suits a specific kind of buyer: one who already has a primary residence in Dubai or elsewhere and is looking for something that sits outside the conventional tower or gated-community framework.
